UX Monday: Sound — Designing With Emotions

What does your product sound like? And what does that sound make people feel?

We spend a lot of time designing what users see and touch. Sound is often treated as an afterthought, even though it can shape emotion, reinforce a brand and help people understand what is happening in an interface. What changes when we design it with the same care as the visual experience?

This UX Monday, we’ll explore the often invisible layer of design with one speaker and one case study.

🎤 Daniel Bartoš, founder of barbar.design, works across digital interfaces, physical products and sound. In SOUND — Designing With Emotions, he’ll walk us through his immersive audio study for the XPENG G9 cockpit and share how sound design can support emotional connection, sonic branding and usability.

We’ll also look at sound as a new frontier for UX: how design thinking can bring different parts of an experience together, and why what people hear can stay with them long after an interaction ends.
