Come and join us for another MSD IT Meet Up, this time organized by our ML team. Together, we will explore what/which machine learning and natural language processing approaches are applicable to MSD business problems and challenges.

Jakub Arnold (AI developer) and Michael Wurst (AI architect) will discuss the problem of machine learning and privacy: How to avoid sensitive data to be leaked through Machine Learning models, how to generate synthetic data that is guaranteed to preserve privacy and how Machine Learning can be used to detect accidental data leaks.

David Příhoda (developer in Big Data Solutions - Research) is going to present a deep learning strategy for mining bacterial genomes that we developed together with the Merck Exploratory Science Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts https://www.biorxiv.org/content/biorxiv/early/2018/12/18/500694.full.pdf.

Vacha Pavel (Assoc. Director in Data Science) will introduce the Parasite Counter project, which employs image processing methods in order to assist researches in preclinical studies.

Roman Peter (Product owner for scientific applications) is going to present Machine Learning in the Imaging Space.
