We would like to invite you for next Prague AWS User Group Community Meetup at MSD IT.

There will be two speakers with the following presentations:

• Serverless Architecture - building modern cloud native web platform by Tomas Turek (Chief Software Architect at Invent Medical - https://www.linkedin.com/in/tomasturek/)
A Journey of creating cloud native web platform that is being built on the top of serverless technology. Sharing my experience with serverless technologies after almost two years of working on the global digital platform for a medical company. The goal of the platform is to democratise 3D printing in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics. AWS services in scope of our platform are API Gateway, AWS Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Athena, AWS, Glue, SQS and SNS to name few.

• Istio on Amazon EKS by Petr Ruzicka (Senior Deployment Engineer at Mirantis - https://www.linkedin.com/in/petrruzicka/)
Istio makes it easy to create a network of deployed services with load balancing, service-to-service authentication, monitoring, and more, without any changes in service code. It defines a standard approach for managing microservices traffic flow management, access policy enforcement and the telemetry data aggregation in complex multi-clouds. During the presentation you'll see how you can install and use Istio in EKS, blue-green deployment scenario, routing traffic to pods with different application versions, HTTP injection, traffic mirroring and routing based on HTTP header. This is not going to be introduction/deep-dive into Istio, but more showing it's capabilities with real live examples. (You should have Kubernetes + HTTP + loadbalancing/networking knowledge).
