Abstract:
Come to learn how to build GC (golang, golang.org) compiler yourself for any architecture that you could possibly need or want. Test your projects against versions of golang not yet provided by your distribution or even not yet released, and on not so common architectures like arm32/64, ppc64le, mips or even mainframes*.
- Mainframes probably won't be available, but there might be some ppc64le VMs ;), but feel free to bring in your own devices like PINE64 (http://pine64.com/), BannanaPi (http://www.banana-pi.org/), RBpi(https://www.raspberrypi.org/),BeagelBone(http://beagleboard.org/bone),..., but please keep in mind that there will be limited ways how to connect to internet(Wi-Fi) and no spare monitors, etc. :).
Requirements:
Own laptop with Linux distro (VM is enough) and possibly device(s) you want to build on/for. Basic knowledge of Linux(shell, git, ssh,...) and Go.
