Incidents and major slip-ups are inevitable when building digital products. The real difference between an average team and a high-performing one is what happens after the issue is resolved. Most organizations just brush mistakes off - trying to forget them and move on as quickly as possible. By doing that, they risk burning out their people and repeating the same failures. We’ll focus on how to turn an incident into a strategic investment in quality, stability, and culture.

This mentoring circle, led by Petr Burian (tech leaders mentor and ex-CTO of Livesport), focuses on the socio-technical aspects of crises and mistakes. Together, we’ll share challenging situations and solutions to not just handle them, but come out significantly stronger.

We will focus on:

• Socio-technical balance: Managing stress and shame within the team so people aren't afraid to admit mistakes (Psychological Safety in practice).
• Effective Post-mortems: Techniques for uncovering systemic root causes, not finding scapegoats.
• Executive communication: How to talk about failures with the board and customers without damaging your reputation.
• Learning culture: Treating mistakes as investments—learning from them and then celebrating the fact that we've improved.
