We would like to invite you for first technical meet up at MSD IT hub. This time about Big Data world.

What is it about?

Vita Santrucek (Director Big Data Solutions) will introduce you the company and the context in which we are working. Namely he will explain some of the Big Data challenges within our research, manufacturing and commercial divisions.

Ivo Lasek (Architect Big Data Research Labs) will talk about Big Data Concepts and applications at MSD. He will go deeper into what type of data we are dealing with, what concepts we are applying and will introduce you some of the shared components such as Search.

David Kaspar (Architect, Big Data Platform) will explain you what data lake is in our context, what kind of challenges helps to solve and what technologies are used.

Finally, Big Data Products will be introduced. Marian Mirilovic (Associate Director, Big data Solutions) will talk about two new products that will start in Q1 next year. One of them leveraging real world data and the other helping our business in over 50 countries, 17 data sources each. Tomas Motal (Associate Director, Big Data Solutions) will introduce you our key product for manufacturing division. He will talk about its role and he will tell you more about its road map and development plan.
