Recent events such as the COVID-19 pandemic and conflict in Ukraine has fuelled broader economic trends. Low interest rates led to a surplus of capital and a rush to invest in digital channels, which was further accelerated by the pandemic. In 2023 we are playing completely different game. Many companies are now grappling with the ROI of these investments, as maintaining development teams has become increasingly difficult and expensive. In the talk, the author plans to share some of the mistakes they've made in their own business and offer advice for software developers on how to navigate these challenges and come out ahead.
